BIRTH IS ALWAYS A REBIRTH

Birth is always an active Surrender. I know many women who prepared for Birth and did not have the experience they wanted to, this is the sad and hard nature and reality of Birth, and why we practice active Surrender in BIRTHRITE. I am sharing my personal experience of my birth to offer hope of natural birth and also my own Surrender in my birthing experience.
About the Founder
Courtney is a Mama to Rome, a wife, an artist, a fitness instructor, and a movement facilitator. Movement has always been her passion, but Courtney’s first career was in creative photography. She has now made her passion her career, and Courtney enjoys every moment of it.
In Courtney’s free time she is either dancing, painting, collaging, or playing with her son Rome on the trampoline.
The origin story of BirthRite
It started in my own pregnancy. Everyday, in my second trimester I would go to Hanalei Bay and prepare for my Birth with movement, birth breath, and birth mantras. I told myself I was preparing for a marathon, because I was. I heard my friends stories of 24 hours of labor, and the natural birth they oh so wanted, exhausted and depleted and without other options, their birth took a different, not less miraculous, route.
This scared me! I wanted a natural birth in its entirety, and part of me knew it was in keeping up my endurance physically and emotionally. So I told myself, I am going to train for birth, like I am training for a marathon, and I am going to study and prepare myself for a natural birth, studying birth postures, because that is my BIRTHRITE.
You may have seen me crawling, walking, squatting at Hanalei Bay, repeating the affirmations of a healthy happy birth with a healthy happy delicious baby. It was during this daily ritual of birth movement and postures, birth breath, and birth affirmations, the idea started to form in my mind. What if I created a program, a movement program that prepared women to Birth in the way they wanted to, that prepared them for the physicality of Birth, that got them so connected to the their bodies during their pregnancy they felt confident in their Birth.
Birth is a marathon.
I then gave Birth and was exploded open. BIRTH IS MORE THAN A MARATHON, it was physically the hardest thing I have ever gone through, it was emotionally the most challenging thing I had ever gone through, and spiritually blew every once of me into a million pieces, and it by far the absolute most rewarding thing I had ever gone through.

I had never experienced anything so powerful in my life. I LOOOVVVEEE BIRTH! Can I say that out loud? I felt embarrassed to say it. I ****ING LOVE BIRTH!!!! My husband shutters when I say it. I also must say Rome was sunny side up, so I had an incredibly painful birth, with no release and only more intense pain after every contraction, but I still loved Birth nonetheless.
The Power and the embodiment to the point that felt like survival. I had been obsessed with movement all my life, but in Birth I had to embody in a way I had never had to before, for hours and hours on end to successfully birth my baby in the way I wanted to. I used my squats, my breath, my mantras, and full on ****ing SURRENDER. I felt like I was going to die.
I had to attune myself so deeply to each second of my bodies rhythm and babies ascension through the birth canal. As someone who finds such satisfaction in being embodied, and who finds such joy in Source, to give Birth to this baby boy, was the absolute pinnacle of my life experience. When he came to my breast, I felt like an absolute Goddess, that my Body was the vessel of Life, that God lived in my cells, who could argue with me? I just birthed this precious Baby Boy!
I felt so beyond empowered in a way that I had never ever in my life had felt before, but it was like I was waiting my whole life to feel this feeling, of my unconditional divinity.
So I fell madly in love with Birth. SO, I want to Birth again and again and again. Because Birth is always our Rebirth, and I Love to Birth and Rebirth with YOU ❤️SO, I want to Birth again and again and again with you. Because Birth is always a Rebirth; and I Love to Birth and Rebirth in Community.
